This year has been another extraordinary year for Dads House, with 2020 marking 12 years since DadsHouse was first founded. The advent of the coronavirus has changed the breadth of our operations substantially, and so, over the last five months, we have begun to function primarily as a food bank, with no target demographic.

We are making an urgent appeal to raise £40,000 so that we can keep our food bank running. Covid-19 and lockdown has brought extraordinary hardship, yet we continue to work tireless and continuously to provide food, supplies and toiletries for the most vulnerable families in London. We have provided over 240,000 meals since March 2020. However we need your help to keep fighting hunger. 

Dads House food bank will be open to help anyone that needs a helping hand during the most difficult times ahead that faces all of us from Monday the 30th of March and will act as a distribution centre

Dads House, the UK’s leading charity for single and lone fathers has become the first organisation in Europe to offer homeless fathers temporary accommodation. Five houses across London have been converted into studios with en suite bathrooms and shared kitchens (2) where fathers will also be to access DadsHouse support services including coaching, their buddy service and family law advice.

This year, Dads House[i] and Only Dads,[ii] organisations offering single fathers ground breaking support are teaming up with Researching Reform[iii] , a project founded by Natasha Phillips to highlight family policy problems, to host a debate in The Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 15June, to address the ongoing concerns surrounding single fathers post divorce, separation and bereavement.
